DINING IN THE CITY SQUARE

Located along the bustling pedestrian mall in Charlottesville, Virginia, Zocalo was converted from two commercial spaces into a modern, open, and visually inviting restaurant and bar. Vibrant colors and textures reflect the influence of the cuisine. Unusual materials, such as stained MDF, concrete board and polycarbonate enliven the formerly nondescript interior. A concrete fireplace and cast in place concrete bar curate gatherings to enjoy views of the lively kitchen.
