ALISHA SAVAGE

Alisha received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and her Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia. As a recipient of the Sarah McArthur Nix fellowship, she examined centuries of adaptation of a medieval fortification within Paris. Additional studies in Copenhagen, Venice and Jamaica shaped her interest in design at various scales and in a wide range of applications. Alisha taught undergraduate architecture studios at the University of Virginia and also enjoyed several years working on an array of projects, both geographically and typologically, at Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects.  In her design, she is drawn to the continuity of space between built forms and the landscape.  Her experience in passive solar and Passive House design, and her interest in time tested vernacular techniques in architecture, contribute to her commitment to finding perpetually beneficial ways to design and build.
