PHILOSOPHY
The many layers of architecture inspire our considerations and endeavors.
We aspire to understand and build upon the tenets and insights passed down to us, and those revealed to us in nature, to create forms that are not only delightful, but rich in purpose and performance.
We study and understand cultural, physical, and ecological systems at work, and through our insertions, strive to be stewards of the common good.
We research and get to know each place, believing that what can be created here cannot be done anywhere else.
We explore different ways of making, carrying out each project with a fresh and inventive approach.
We see spatial experience unfolding along a continuum; interior planes and voids are shaped as an extension of their surroundings.
PROCESS
DESIGNING
We believe a project is best served and realized when we provide full Architectural services; this ranges from conceptual phases, such as Schematic Design, through Construction Documents and Construction Administration.
BUILDING
We offer an option to build your project through our affiliate practice STOA Design + Construction. Where geographically suited to a project, the full design-build model ensures a streamlined process, beautiful craft and best assembly. For projects in any location, our resources also enable us to explore the execution of details and fabrication. So, whether via a relationship with another contractor, or within our operations, our experience with making and our understanding of construction give us an exceptional ability to realize the best project.
